Spirit Fest is an impromptu supergroup* all about friendship and musical collaboration, comprising the Japanese duo Tenniscoats (Saya & Takashi Ueno), members of The Notwist (Markus Acher & Cico Beck) and Mat Fowler from Jam Money.

The project was born in Munich in the winter of 2016, on the sidelines of the Alien Disko festival. A first album was recorded almost entirely live in 2018 over 14 days, with the five artists playing and singing together in the same room on piano, guitars, percussion and several keyboards. Mirage Mirage is their most recent album recorded in Tokyo and Munich, taking this collective dream to the next level and combining avant-garde pop, experimental folk and dream pop, on a journey crossing both geographical and musical borders. The first part will be performed by the cult Japanese duo, Tenniscoats, aka Saya & Takashi Ueno of Spirit Fest, whose experimental pop remains one of the best kept secrets in the land of the rising sun.
