From 1 February, a new site for the Museum of Fine Arts of Rennes will open its doors in the Maurepas district. At the foot of the emblematic “La Banane” building, two free temporary exhibitions created using the museum’s collections will be presented each year. One of them will be developed in collaboration with local residents.
Enjoy a whole host of activities during this celebratory opening weekend, including a guided tour of the Fantaisies exhibition by Isabelle Arthuis, workshops led by Rennes-based artists Anouk Alliot and Élise Torchin, a collaborative fresco with artist Efflam in the Gros-Chêne metro station, musical performances (with pupils from Clotilde Vautier secondary school in Maurepas), dance performances (with Rennes-based company Primitif), and more. It’s a great programme, with something for everyone!
