The Zef et Mer festival is all about creating a stage, springboard and platform for innovative, risk-taking and creatively daring music groups from Brittany. The artists invited are often young, steeped in tradition, but also open to other influences and musical styles. This year, come to la Salle de la Cité concert hall to discover around fifteen excerpts from productions that are brand new or in the works, including from Brieg Guerveno, the Cabaret-Rocher duo, Erwan Menguy Quartet, Modkozmik Trio, Emezi, Sylvain Girault and Mathieu Hamon.
Marthe Vassallo will also be there to present a glimpse of her new show, Of Ghosts.
Each group will have 20 minutes to play excerpts from their latest works. Zef & Mer is a chance for them to play their work in front of an audience and see their response. The festival is also a place to convince professionals from the performance sector to include these new shows in their programmes, in front of a broader audience, and promote the dynamic and eclectic Breton scene, which is always looking for fresh creative works that blend ideas and create opportunities for sharing.
