The association, Les Zef et Mer presents the sixth edition of its winter events. This is the best time of year to take a peep at the artistic projects preparing to blossom in the spring and summer festivals.
That’s what the Zef et Mer events offer the general public and programmers: seven groups selected for four performances in Plérin, Rennes, Guer and Paris.
For one afternoon this Sunday, Ballossë, Beat Bouët Trio, Duo du Bas, Fred Guichen Trio, Lune Bleue trio, Maria Desbordes quartet and Nolwenn Korbell’s Trio will present 20 minutes of their shows under development, giving audiences an opportunity to discover the breadth and diversity of Breton music.
All these pieces have ties with Breton culture, but that doesn’t stop them going beyond the region and dabbling in a range of musical cultures. Gallo, Breton, French and Occitan sounds all mix with a spot of English and Spanish, and influences from traditional, jazz, rap and rock music. Get ready for another colourful year of music in 2019!
