Pirate Patate, the fourth children’s performance created and produced by Le Studio Fantôme, combines storytelling, song, contemporary music, drawing, animation, video, theatre and shadow puppetry, in a new take on drawing performance adapted to young audiences. The story is told through a rich multimedia production staged around the world of pirates.
It is the story of Noémie, aka Pirate Patate, a shy little girl in “real” life, but the Terror of the Seven Seas in her imaginary world. One day, she meets Timour, a newcomer who does not speak her language and draws her into an adventure. Pirate Patate is a story about the power of imagination and friendship overcoming solitude, and a tale about difference, communication and the liberating power of imagery.
