English humanist Thomas More wrote “Utopia” in 1516. Five centuries later, Simon Gauchet and Yann Lefeivre are continuing the quest for the mythical island of Utopia and its “ideal society”. They are leading team of artists, architects and scientists on a forty-day expedition up the Ille-et-Rance Canal and the River Rance on a fleet of rafts, with stops planned in ten different locations. This participatory adventure, blending poetry, drama, science and visual arts invites us to join in as they question our world and its various possibilities.
