La Sonothèque Nomade is the nomadic journey of a pair of artists who collect songs and lullabies from around the world. Carine Henry and Jérôme Bouvet peddle our humanity and its diversity as they travel with their Stroh violin “instrumentarium”. They invent unconventional spaces for recording and listening to acapella songs from France and the rest of the world. La Tisanerie Sonore is a living installation created around a giant megaphone, a poetic ritual for gathering together around a song or some herbal tea and sharing intimate open-air concerts. It’s an oasis of conviviality and welcoming non-conformity, where each bird is a song and each song is a world of its own. In Rennes, La Tisanerie Sonore will be set up in the courtyard of the Langue et Communication association. It’s an invitation to take some time – time to grow, time for curiosity and creating ties. It’s an invitation to set aside our differences, to share them to keep them alive and encounter those of others.
“Languages grow even more slowly than trees […]. Linguistic diversity is a resource, but a threatened resource.” Colette Grinevald
