With this “rich programme of cancelled activities”, Montpellier-based actor and director Nicolas Heredia has invented a show designed to help us fight hyperactivity and over-productivity, by ultimately and literally saving time. Somewhere between clownish satire, contemporary art, psychic experience and conceptual salubrity, La Fondation du Rien unleashes its time bomb in the form of a conference, website and surprise in situ interventions… It’s a feast of composition and a delicious disruption of both our indoor and public spaces!
BIOGRAPHY
> NICOLAS HEREDIA / LA FONDATION DU RIEN (France)
Based in Montpellier, France, actor, author and director Nicolas Heredia has been working with his Vaste Entreprise company to develop projects at the crossroads of the performing and visual arts since 2007. Over the years, the specific forms (shows, exhibitions, in situ experiences) dedicated to each new creation have come together to form a vast body of works that interact with each other and feed the invention of a multi-faceted poetic style that attacks the gentle absurdity of contemporary life. These creations, with their rich subtexts, are performed in theatres, art centres and public spaces: À ne pas rater (Time to spend together at the expense of everything else), La fondation du rien (Rich programme of cancelled activities), L’origine du monde (46×55, potential adventure), Légendes (Augmented reality), L’instant (A fragment of suspended time), Cartes souvenirs (Melancholy stationery), Encore des vestiges (Roadside archaeology), Le diamètre du nombril (Cadastral chorus), Exposition temporaire (Guided tour of an empty museum), and much more.
