A jolly, rolling rabble, an unbridled and different kind of peloton, moving as one body in a merry-go-round of steeds with pedals. An effervescence of tyres, swarming wheels, a flurry of acrobatics expressed in an infinite number of formations, balancing and unbalancing feats and an endless succession of combinations. A collective breakaway of riders who roll together in the same direction, balancing on one wheel, standing on the handlebars or holding a frame at arm’s length. The acrobatic collective, La Bande à Tyrex could have just stuck to a circus bicycle show, but to spice things up even more, they added live singing and music, playing the drums, ukulele, accordion, saxophone, clarinet and trumpet.
The talented riders keep the wheels turning as they play pop and soul anthems alongside their own compositions, turning this rolling acrobatic flurry into a singing band. The audience gathers around the ring, surrounding this effervescent musical cycling ballet, full of funny and delirious energy. La Bande à Tyrex takes us along for an hour of rolling, twirling and acrobatic craziness. It is a delightful shared bicycle journey, where time stands still as attention focuses on the apparatus that unites them.

BIOGRAPHY
> LA BANDE À TYREX (France)
This collective of bicycle acrobats emerged from the first time they met at the “Roue Libre” convention for bicycles and unicycles organised by La Cascade in 2014. As they continued to meet up at bicycle events, they initiated “Labeau vélo” research laboratories around their apparatus. Camille Chatelain, Cyril Choyé, Valentin Duchamp, Jonathan Gagneux, Charlotte Kolly, Benny Martin, Pierre Alban Monfreux, Benjamin Renard and Robin Zobel gradually formalised their relationship through a collective, La Bande à Tyrex, with a common desire to go beyond the technical side and create a show. Their collective writing uses the acrobatic bicycle in an infinite number of big-hearted ways. It is manifested in various forms that move outside the strict format of shows, including improvised performances in neighbourhoods, appearances in schools, workshops, road shows, adapted concerts, and impromptu concerts.
