Julie Doiron was a member of indie rock band Eric’s Trip in the 90s, until it broke up in 1996. That same year, she released her first solo album, under the legendary Sub Pop label. This Canadian songwriter, similar in style to Herman Düne, has won our hearts with ten albums featuring intimate ballads and odes to ordinary life to accompany nights around the fireplace. They will be perfectly suited to the intimate setting of the Institut Franco Américain.
Early Day Miners are straight out of Bloomington, Indiana, adding a touch of melancholy to transform rural American music into a cinematographic and experimental experience. Their last European tour dates back to 2009, making this performance in Rennes a concert not to be missed.
