On 17 May 2022, the Rennes contingent of the Donquichottesque adventure of Cauchemar de Séville, a performance by Massimo Furlan for 16 local residents, was set to come to an end at Roazhon Park. After three years of preparation, twists and turns and rewarded efforts, it all culminated in a triumphant performance before an audience of 2000 spectators who came to commemorate this national sports tragedy.
By its very nature, live performance is a fragile thing. That evening, the planets aligned and our players were able to perform their role under the best possible conditions, before an audience fully dedicated to creating some magic and finally turning this painful collective memory into a moment of celebration and sharing, and one of the most beautiful pages in the history of Les Tombées de la Nuit.
And now a new page has turned. Won over by the performance, the artistic team of Paris Nuit Blanche has invited our 16 residents to perform at Sébastien Charléty Stadium on 1 October to mark the 20th anniversary of the event. A wonderful ending to this collective epic journey.
