An ice floe is sheet of sea ice, which often comes together chaotically with others and ends up forming pack ice. Artist Vincent Lamouroux was inspired by this unusual structure to create this installation, which is designed to be explored in the open air. The dancer in the show has to come to terms with this strange sculpted landscape of white blocks – climbing, falling, slipping, disappearing and returning once again to scale the peaks. The physical constraints cause him to gradual invent a poetic, dramaturgical choreography.
