In the middle of the audience, eight acrobats/dancers, accompanied by a mischievous and exuberant DJ, dance, perform lifts, spins, and play, while defying the laws of gravity, before gradually drawing us into the dance…
As they continue their study of acrobatics and working from the “premise that everybody needs to dance”, the Le Doux Supplice company, created in 2018, takes on the themes of popular and traditional dancing to better explore the boundaries between disciplines, the audience and artists.
En attendant le grand soir is a circus show and an introduction to festive gatherings, an ode to dances, a contagion combining movement, acrobatics and dance, small spectacular moments and moments of jubilation. Mutual trust, transmission and humour are the hallmarks of this collective adventure that invites us, if we feel like it, to join in the gentle dizzying dance.
Waterproof is co-organised by Le Triangle, Cité de la danse and Danse à tous les étages, L’intervalle – Scène de territoire de Noyal-sur-Vilaine and Opéra de Rennes. It has been co-developed by some twenty cultural players in the Rennes region.
