For all ages

Following Métamorphées ou l’éloge de l’aube (Metamorphosis, or praise of the dawn), a photography project looking at self-image just after waking up (presented at Les Tombées de la Nuit in 2021 and 2022), Rennes-based photographer Anne-Cécile Esteve is now turning her attention to romantic encounters.

À vos amours (To your loves) is a photography project under development, that consists of gathering stories of how people in Rennes met and fell in love, photographing and storytelling in the city through its love stories and lived experiences, and listening to the heart of the region to create a “map of tenderness”, thereby linking the intimate with the universal. After all, don’t we get attached to a place because of the people we’ve met there, the bonds we’ve built and the story we leave behind?

After a period of collecting stories, followed by photographic creation, the project will culminate in an exhibition at the end of 2025.

Would you like to take part in this poetic adventure? Come and tell Anne-Cécile Esteve your love story or the story of a romantic encounter during her office hours.

Booking is compulsory via this dedicated form :

Your stories and testimonies will serve as a source of inspiration for the project, and your names will not appear in the exhibition. As À vos amours (To your loves) is an artistic creation, please note that these stories will not necessarily be used and transcribed literally by Anne-Cécile Esteve in her final work.
