In the 1970s, block parties were the life and soul of US hip-hop culture, bringing neighbourhoods together in a celebration of Afro-American music and food. For its 11^th edition, the Dooinit festival invites the people of Rennes to get together at the Parc des Hautes-Ourmes with a barbecue, games for children, graffiti and an introduction to double dutch (a more athletic version of jump rope that was developed in the USA around this period). Beats will be provided by DJ Sorg (France, electro/hip-hop) and DJ Amir from New York duo Kon & Amir, who will be sharing his love of funk, soul and hip-hop. A rich musical experience for all!
