It’s also a game of finding balance and stability and it is fragile and hypnotic. Come and travel in the poetic bubble of the Grandet Douglas Company, to the delightful sound of this gravity-defying piano.

In this cabinet of absurdities, filled with Dadaist gags and harmonious gems, an adulterated soprano praises the virtues of asphalt, insults her mother and cooks up boiled tomatoes. A cheeky percussionist meets her and rattles a thousand everyday objects, making coins jingle, a case resonate and bird calls crackle. In unison, they dance a chachacha in pyjamas and Bermuda shorts. Contemporary music has never been so funny!
