7 Samouraïs mixes hip-hop dance and poetry and adapts to the identity of a street, an esplanade or park, using movement and the spoken word to bring to life 7 poems in public space (from poets Cécile Coulon, Olivier Cadiot, Andrée Chedid, Maram Al-Masri, Ghérasim Luca, Kev La Raj and Arthur Rimbaud). The 7 poems are inspired by the values of the Akira Kurosawa film, Seven Samurai, which tells the story of the struggle involved in finding the right balance between our values and our actions, and the fight to perpetually reclaim our freedom.

A 21-year-old dancer and a 55-year-old actor come together, share and inhabit seven poems, creating a moving tableau in a different context each time, through the comparison of two generations and two means of expression. How do two people build and rebuild themselves in relation to each other when one is young and the other older, and when one is a son and the other is a father?
