To celebrate their building turning fifty years old, Rennes Archives are opening their doors during the next European Heritage Days, giving the public the opportunity to visit, explore, listen, laugh, build, model, invent, play and discuss the building inside and out.
Continuing the ties built with Kaléidoscope during the Dedans/Dehors weekend in December 2018, Les Tombées de la Nuit introduced the Vitrine en Cours collective to the Archives for the organisation of this anniversary event.
As the sun sets on Saturday September 21st, see Rue Jules Ferry lit up over drinks, a concert and an open-air cinema for the evening. The Rennes Archives building and bridge that surrounds and protects the archive documents will be transformed into a screen to view a creation produced by Vitrine en Cours using documents from the Archives and images from the Cinemathèque de Bretagne.
On Sunday September 22nd, the building will once again be open to the public with the second day of Candice Hazouard’s photo exhibition, Écrin, guided tours and a RennesCraft workshop.
