In collaboration with the European network IN SITU, the FAI-AR (Higher education in art in public space) inaugurated the very first MOOC dedicated to artistic creation in public spaces in September of 2019. This MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is intended for all audiences (artists, programmers, researchers, students, etc.) interested in the subject. Available for free and in both English & French, the platform has already gathered over 1,500 participants up to date.
Throughout the MOOC, you can discover a dozen projects supported by IN SITU, an international network of festivals dedicated in art & public space including Les Tombées de la Nuit. A series of four webinars (or online meetings) entitled IN SITU Talks offers to get to know several members of the IN SITU network and discuss openly about the given issues: “How do European artistic curators connect with society?” With what goals, what dreams and what practices?”
The IN SITU Talks will be held every Tuesday from April 14th to May 5th, at 5 p.m. On the first one, next Tuesday 14th, the leaders of Freedom Festival and the Norfolk & Norwich Festival will open a dialogue to talk about their festivals, giving an overview of Street Art in the UK and the influence of international works in this particular landscape.
